Raquel Allegra
Abstract Trend

Wow! When Resort 23 came out on the catwalk this June, we were blown away by the beautiful depth of colour, movement, and hand-painted feel we saw on Raquel Allegra’s collection.

We immediately knew we needed to cover this trend and get the studio inspired by her creativity. Our Catwalk reactive collection features our very own “peachy version” of this style.

With exquisite fabrication, our designers have thoroughly enjoyed many mediums and processes that go into this style of print design. From Ink painting, actual tie dying, scanning, filters, and playing on photoshop. The outcome is divine and we cannot wait to see them be taken into production onto your latest garments!

Plus we really want to wear them 😉

A bit about this collection

When Raquel Allegra began working on her resort collection earlier this year, she wasn’t quite sure what the concept would be. Inspiration struck while she was looking through cards of yarn with one of her suppliers. “All the beautiful colors mixed together reminded me of the way the light appears reflected in Yayoi Kusama’s infinity rooms,”
The hand-painting is done in the studio, through a painstaking process. “I want to show the human touch wherever and whenever possible,” Allegra said, “to remind you that a human being made your clothes.”
